ITV is launching a diverse-led production companies development pilot, Amplify: The Companies and has named the ten companies that will take part, alongside the commissioners that will work with them.
Supported through ITV’s Diversity Commissioning Fund, the ten companies – either People of Colour or Deaf, Disabled and/ or Neurodivergent-owned or led – have been matched with an ITV genre commissioner from Drama, Entertainment, Factual, Reality or Current Affairs. The aim of the pilot initiative is to accelerate the company relationships with our commissioners.
The chosen ten companies to take part in ITV’s new Amplify: The Companies scheme are:
Acme TV, Drama, Polly Hill, Head of Drama
Brazen Productions, Drama, Polly Hill, Head of Drama
Bolla Media Entertainment, Joe Mace, Entertainment Commissioning Editor
King of Sunshine Productions, Entertainment, Joe Mace, Entertainment Commissioning Editor
Renaissance Studios Entertainment, Natalie Rose, Entertainment Commissioner
Postcard Productions, Factual, Kate Teckman, Factual Entertainment Commissioning Editor & Head of Development
Acclaimed Content, Reality, Amanda Stavri & Pete TierneyBig Deal Films, Reality, Amanda Stavri & Pete Tierney, Reality Commissioning Editors
Proper Content, Reality, Amanda Stavri & Pete Tierney, Reality Commissioning Editors

The companies have been chosen to match the commissioning slate needs of ITV and have each had a meeting with their allocated commissioner, been provided with a brief for their slate and then awarded £5,000 each to help develop ideas to pitch. The money can be used as the companies wish, to support the work required in the ideas generation stage. Following feedback from each of the individual pitches, if ideas are greenlit they will go into further development as part of the standard ITV commissioning process. If not, the companies are free to pitch their ideas elsewhere.
Also as part of the programme, ITV’s Diversity & Inclusion team has invited each company to join them at this week’s Content London industry event. As well as a networking breakfast hosted by ITV’s Group Director of Diversity & Inclusion, Ade Rawcliffe alongside the matched genre commissioners and key ITV colleagues.
Nahrein Kemp, Creative Diversity Partner at ITV said: ‘‘We are excited to support these ten brilliant companies through our Diversity Commissioning Fund. We created Amplify: The Companies to turbo charge relationships between ITV commissioners and companies owned by People of Colour and/or Deaf, Disabled and Neurodivergent producers. We look forward to seeing these relationships thrive and to see what commissions that they might lead to in the future.”
Che Chumber & Anton Inwood, Acclaimed Content said: “Amplify was a great way to get one to one time with commissioners and a real insight of the opportunities at ITV. The development funding helped us secure access to a killer cast and get them on a character sizzle tape ready to pitch. Amplify has been a great platform in building a lasting and valuable relationship with ITV.”
