A+C and David Morrissey launch Kickstarter for stop motion film

Margate based A+C Animation Studios has launched a Kickstarter campaign to help fund production of its short stop motion feature film Húsláb, narrated by David Morrissey.

Others involved in the production include Aardman’s senior model maker Jim Parkyn (Wallace & Gromit, Chicken Run and Shaun the Sheep) scenic artist Fiona Stewart (Fantastic Mr Fox and Frankenweenie) and post house Electric Theatre Collective.

Director Dan Richards said: “These people are at the top of their profession and I feel humbled to know they want to be part of this.  I still can’t believe we have David (Morrissey), he’s an amazing actor and when it was written I always had his voice reading the lines in my head”.

Since 2007 A+C has been delivering animated commercials and content for brands such as American Express, LEGO and Virgin from its production studios in Margate. The studio has five sound stages, a model making workshop and full post facilities, the production of Húsláb will be self-contained and is scheduled to start in January 2017.
