Absolute has promoted Tom Boucher to Head of Edit.

Boucher has been with the company from the beginning of his editing career, joining as an edit assistant back in 2017. He has since grown into a sought-after talent in his own right, working with global names across commercial, short film and music video projects.

In 2024 Boucher has worked on award-winning projects for global brands including Mercedes, Moncler and Netflix, as well as collaborations with directors like Jacopo Cinti, Jack Bowden and Tom Brown.

“I am so thrilled to be made Head of Edit,” said Boucher. “Absolute has been my home since I started in the industry, so it’s a really proud moment for me to be leading the department I learnt my craft in. This is such an exciting time for everyone at Absolute, and after an amazing year we’ve lined up some brilliant projects for the new year too, so we’re looking forward to a brilliant year across the edit team

“I’m delighted to be embarking on this new chapter with some exceptionally talented editors alongside me. The experience of Editors like Tom Higgins and Ollie Burn will be crucial for our department and I can’t wait to see them collaborate with more incredible teams”.

“We’re thrilled to see Tom step into this Head of Department role,” says Absolute MD Chris Batten. “This promotion is not only well-deserved, but a testament to Tom’s exceptional talent and growing reputation.

“His impressive reel speaks volumes, and his dedication to his craft and the team is evident in everything he does. With Tom at the helm, I’m confident he’ll continue to inspire excellence within our edit team and play a pivotal role in driving the department’s success in the years to come.”
