UKTV and BBC Select have commissioned new series, World’s Most Amazing Walks with Robson Green (8 x60’), for factual channel U&Yesterday and free streaming service, U, produced by BBC Studios Specialist Factual Productions.

The eight-part series will see actor and keen rambler Robson Green embark on a series of adventures along some of the world’s most scenic trails.

Exploring treks across coasts, valleys, mountains and rivers, each episode will see Robson challenged to a single, iconic walk, sharing his passion for walking and unlocking stories as he encounters locals, other walkers, historians, wildlife experts or geologists along the way. From the sheer, rocky valleys of Poland’s Eagle’s Nest Trail, over the ancient, well-trodden pilgrim route of the Santiago di Compostela in Spain, to the coves of England’s Jurassic Coast.

World’s Most Amazing Walks with Robson Green has been commissioned for UKTV by Head of Factual and Factual Entertainment Commissioning, Helen Nightingale, and for BBC Select by BBC Studios’s Senior Vice President of Content Creation and Acquisition, Cassian Harrison, and ordered for U&Yesterday by Director of Programming, Factual & Factual Entertainment, Adam Collings and Director of Commissioning, Hilary Rosen. Executive Producer for BBC Studios is Jack Rampling.

World’s Most Amazing Walks with Robson Green is filming now and will air in the UK on U&Yesterday and free streaming service U later this year, joining a slate of original programming including Canal Boat Diaries, Masters of Reinvention, Classic Car Kings, Secrets of the London Underground, Bangers & Cash and Dream Car Fixers.
