Dzofilm has launched its T8 90°Probe Zoom Lens for macro cinematography.
This follows the January launch of its 0°probe zoom lens, in the X-tract series.
TheX-tract 18-28mm T8 90°Probe Zoom Lens gives a right angle perspective.
The X-tract 90° lens features a fixed 90° optical path, bending light at a right angle to explore intricate details from unconventional viewpoints. Its 360° rotating ring enables precise horizontal adjustments, while the square front element with a PET silver-coated reflective layer maximizes light transmission, delivering consistent illumination for premium image quality.
Designed for full-frame sensors and compatible with S35 formats, the lens provides an equivalent 22-35mm T8 focal range in Arri Alexa 35 Open Gate mode. Its constant T8 aperture ensures consistent brightness across all focal lengths.
Its parfocal design ensures focus remains sharp during zooming, enabling smooth transitions and classic techniques like the Hitchcock dolly zoom effect.
With a 300° focus throw, 2.1x magnification ratio, and 6mm minimum focus distance, the lens captures intricate details such as water droplets, insect wings, or miniature landscapes with stunning clarity and precision.
