E4 has commissioned new reality pilot, It’s a Scouse Life, from Optomen.
Filmed across the summer, It’s a Scouse Life offers an “up-close and personal look at the ups and downs of one interwoven group of metropolitan Merseysiders as they juggle relationships, friendships, business, and family life in one of Europe’s most lively cities.”
It’s a Scouse Life is a 1 x 60’ TX pilot commission for E4 from Optomen Television. The programme is executive produced by Rebecca McLaughlin and Series Produced by Simon Atkins. The programme is commissioned for Channel 4 by Genna Gibson, Commissioning Editor, Reality & Entertainment.
Channel 4’s Genna Gibson comments: “Channel 4 has a celebrated history of showing Liverpool on screen, which makes it all the more exciting to bring this latest reality project to viewers on E4 to show modern Liverpool in all its glory.”

It’s a Scouse Life will premiere Tuesday 12 November after Married at First Sight UK on E4.
Determined to be the queen of the city, entrepreneur Melina is setting up a new fashion brand with her best friend Thomas and on a house-hunting adventure with her new boyfriend, MMA fighter Darren Till.
Meanwhile, Georgia – the longest reigning ‘Miss Liverpool’ the city has ever had – is forging a new career in the events industry. She’s willing to do whatever it takes to secure a coveted role at a club in the city, but her competitive spirit only intensifies her rivalry with Melina. Tensions rise as both women compete for the spotlight.
Sax player Jonny is a ‘man about town’ who plays in some of the biggest nightclubs in Liverpool. On/off girlfriend Jenny is hoping that he’ll soon pop the question, but the gossips’ tongues are wagging that he likes the attention from adoring fans too much…
Meanwhile, tensions culminate in a blazing row between Melina and Georgia in a nightclub bathroom, tipping their rivalry into open warfare and leaving the rest of the group on edge.
In a city where friendships are forever, dreams are chased and loyalty is everything, the question is… who will come out on top?
