This year’s EVCOMference – for the event and visual communications industry – has been formally launched.

The annual EVCOMference, which will take place at RD Studios in West London,  gathers industry leaders, experts and next generation talent together for a programme of keynotes, panels and discussions.

This year, the programme is underpinned by facilitated discussions across three core areas: Harnessing Tech, Business Solutions and Building a Better Industry. Within these streams it will be touching on topics such as virtual production and AI, preparing for growth and maintaining a hybrid workforce, neurodiversity and apprenticeships.

Facilitators include Amos Eretusi (The Kusp), James Simpkins (2Heads), Anna Green (Broadsword), Barnaby Cook (Studio Yes), Oliver Atkinson (Casual Films), Jonathan Brigden (Studio Giggle), Jules Sander and Laura Capell-Abra (No More Ifs or Buts).

The opening keynote will hear from strategist Kevin Chesters about what businesses, brands and teams can learn from studying gangs, from the Women’s Institute to Hells Angels. Later in the day, screen-writer, author and artist Lucy van Smit will help delegates tap into their creativity, delving into creative freedom, practice and neuroscience.

A panel of industry leaders will conclude the day, by looking into the future of the industry and exploring what it holds for filmmakers and event organisers. Take a look at the full programme here.

Claire Fennelow, EVCOM’s Executive Director, says, “This year we wanted to do something different, get people talking, start conversations. We’ve lined up some fantastic speakers and facilitators across the key topics facing the film and events industries today. And we can’t wait to bring the industry together for a day of ideas, inspiration and imagination!”
