Data and operations solutions specialist Fabric has acquired data science and market research outfit BB Media.

The move “marks a significant milestone in Fabric’s mission to provide the most complete, connected, and actionable data ecosystem for the media and entertainment industry.”

The acquisition will see Fabric integrating BB Media’s expertise in audience analytics and market intelligence.

Fabric product, Fabric Origin, with the addition of BB’s data, will be able to combine customer libraries with measurement data to find opportunities and make better distribution decisions. BB Media’s tracking of streaming platforms, pricing models, and catalogue metadata across 200+ countries “will provide a truly global perspective, offering deeper insights into market trends and content availability worldwide.”

Fabric Studio centralises metadata management, and with the integration of BB Media’s insights, “discoverability, automation, and data accuracy will be significantly enhanced.”

Fabric’s AI-powered tools with the addition of BB Media’s data, “will provide even more relevant, real-time insights to drive business growth.”
