Firecracker Scotland has been commissioned to make new series, Confessions of a Cam Girl, for Channel 4.

The two-part series will “lay bare the stories of five very different cam girls who are embracing their sexuality, their careers and all the cash that comes with it – this is the naked truth about the world of online camming.”

With this career exploding since lockdown – tens of thousands of young women are now selling sexually explicit shows and building empires from their bedrooms. But with so many women being one click away what does it take to make it as a Cam Girl in Britain today? We follow five unique cam girls who are striving to stand out and carve a niche in a crowded market. From the stay-at-home mums to the social media stars to the girls you would never expect are turning on their web cams and turning on men, and women, across the globe.

Jennifer Gilroy, Executive Producer at Firecracker Scotland, commented: “We are delighted and privileged to have had such intimate access to these incredible women, all of whom are making a huge success of their camming careers.”

Confessions of a Cam Girl is a 2 x 60 series for Channel 4, with Jennifer Gilroy as Executive Producer and Sho Bhatia as Series Director. It was commissioned by Anna Miralis, Senior Commissioning Editor at Channel 4. It will be distributed by Passion Distribution.

Recent shows from Firecracker include Open House: The Great Sex Experiment, Vicky Pattison: Alcohol, Dad & Me, and Britain’s Tourette’s Mystery: Scarlett Moffatt Investigates
