Scripted indie, Sister, has promoted Chris Fry (Black Doves, Kaos, Chernobyl, Giri Haji) to the role of Managing Director.

Previously serving as the Joint Creative Director of Scripted, Fry will now be responsible for the execution and delivery of the television slate, working closely with the creative, production and business teams at Sister.

He continues to report into Sister’s Chief Creative Officer and co-founder Jane Featherstone (Eric, Kaos, This is Going to Hurt, Chernobyl).

Fry joined Sister in January 2017 where he has Executive Produced Charlie Covell’s Kaos starring Jeff Goldblum for Netflix, the BAFTA award-winning Landscapers written and created by Ed Sinclair, Giri/Haji written and created by Joe Barton, reunited with Sam Vincent and Jonathon Brackley for Better, and co-executive produced multi award-winning Chernobyl. Fry was promoted to Joint Creative Director of Scripted with Naomi de Pear in May 2021.

Sister CCO and Co-Founder Jane Featherstone said: “We are thrilled to have Chris step up into the role of Managing Director. Chris’ experience and knowledge of making high end television is unparalleled. He is a great leader, full of passion and energy, and the team here at SISTER and the buyers we work with all love him. I am sure he will continue to keep us on our toes and make sure that we’re executing at the highest level.”

Chris Fry, Managing Director, added: “I am honoured to take on this new role at such an exciting time for SISTER. We have an incredible team and a truly exciting and diverse portfolio of projects ahead. I look forward to continuing to work closely with Jane and the entire team to build on our success and continue to deliver exceptional content to our audiences worldwide.”
