South Shore is to produce new property competition format, Selling Super Prime, for Channel 4.
The show centres on property magnate Paul ‘PK’ Kemsley and his reality TV star wife Dorit Kemsley.
The US-based couple will head back to London to join with fellow super prime agent, Becky Fatemi, owner of agency Rokstone, to offer eight ambitious Brits the chance to “hit the big time.”
Alongside his wife Dorit and partner in property Becky, PK is opening a London agency and “will stop at nothing when it comes to hiring the very best sales team the country has to offer.” The eight wannabe brokers will compete against each other in the cutthroat world of multi million pound real estate. “Juggling demanding clients, uniquely British sales tactics, PK’s expectations, and the drama of having to make deals, they will do whatever it takes to get sales over the line.”
Paul ‘PK’ Kemsley created a $2 billion real estate empire from a standing start in 1995 through to 2009. During his career, he bought and sold over 750 buildings, developed millions of square feet internationally, including acquiring over a million square feet in Manhattan. Buildings that PK has owned in London include The Ned Hotel and the Burberry Building in Haymarket.
PK said: “After 12 years out of real estate, I feel the time is right for my return to an industry and city I love. When the credit crunch hit, I lost the business it had taken 15 years to build. I had no choice but to file bankruptcy and start again. The USA love a comeback story and afforded me that opportunity. Now it’s time for me to share my knowledge and help the next group of young aspiring entrepreneurs right here in the UK. I’m delighted to be teaming up with South Shore and Channel 4 as I embark on my new journey creating, moulding, supporting and advising some of the UK’s brightest new brokers. It’s going to be an emotional, fun, hectic ride.”
Clemency Green, Commissioning Editor for Features and Daytime at Channel 4: “We are thrilled PK and Dorit are trading Beverly Hills for London. They already have some of the country’s most exclusive properties on their books and we have no doubt they will take British estate agency to another level, in the most glamorous and dramatic way imaginable!”
Melanie Leach, Executive Producer for South Shore: “We couldn’t be more excited to be working with PK and Channel 4 on what promises to be an intoxicating mix of super luxe properties, rich reality and cutthroat competition”
Selling Super Prime was commissioned by Clemency Green, Commissioning Editor for Features and Daytime at Channel 4. The 6 x 60’ is a South Shore production and the Executive Producers are Melanie Leach, Andrew Mackenzie and Caroline Davies.
Selling Super Prime will TX on Channel 4 in 2022.
