Indie Character 7’s Executive Chair Stephen Garrett has hired Anna Higgs as Managing Director and promoted Carly Conway to Creative director.
Higgs has led global Entertainment Partnerships at Meta, was Creative Director at LVMH-owned video channel NOWNESS, Commissioning Executive at Film4 and an independent producer working across a range of genres and platforms. She currently serves as Chair of the Film Committee and a Board Trustee of BAFTA.
Garrett first met Higgs 15 years ago as her mentor. Character 7 Founder and Executive Chair Stephen Garrett said: “I’m so delighted to have Anna joining Character 7. Her fabulously eclectic experience in the television and film industry is a thrilling fit for our ambition to go on developing and creating ground-breaking drama and supporting our ambitions and investment in the future.”

Garrett has also promoted Carly Conway to Creative Director.

Character 7 and Garrett’s recent successes include heist miniseries Culprits, starring Gemma Arterton and Suzy Eddie Izzard, and psychological thriller The Undoing with Nicole Kidman and Hugh Grant. A second season of THE NIGHT MANAGER, in partnership with the Ink Factory has just finished shooting.
