Executive producer Jack Burgess has been promoted to president of Studio Lambert’s US business.
Burgess is a 10-year veteran with Studio Lambert, having run its unscripted development department in the UK for four years before moving to its Los Angeles office in 2018. As executive vice president, he has overseen the development and production of the company’s US output.
Recent successes include the Emmy-winning Studio Lambert adaptation of The Traitors for Peacock, more episodes of the structured reality hit The Circle for Netflix, and business competition series Buy It Now for Prime Video and USA Network’s The Anonymous.
Burgess will continue to report to the company’s chief creative officer, Tim Harcourt, and ceo Stephen Lambert.
“Jack is a star creative executive,” says Lambert, “and since moving to Los Angeles he has developed deep relationships with the US buying and production community. Everyone loves working with him because he has great taste, knows what needs doing and makes it happen calmly and efficiently.”
“I’ve worked with Jack for more than fifteen years,” says Harcourt, “and I am thrilled he continues to make strides in his US role. Jack is the unscripted version of a triple threat. He knows how to develop a great idea, how to sell it and how to produce it as great content.”
Studio Lambert is currently in production on season 4 of The Traitors for Peacock and last week The Traitors US won the Producers Guild of America Award for Best Competition and Game TV. Squid Game: The Challenge is reordered for a second season with Netflix, and the second season of the company’s scripted comedy series Boarders will be released soon on Tubi.
