Wild Nutrition film Nature’s Power Bottled from Brothers & Sisters for Wild Nutrition, was directed by Freefolk’s Creative Director Jason Watts.
The idea was to keep the visuals looking organic and very natural to complement the brand. Freefolk were tasked with showing the supplement bottle in various different seasonal environments from the harsh cracked ice of winter to warm sunny hues, as well as the foliage to match the season. Seamless transitions ending in an abundant summer scene, full of wild meadow style flora and fauna to represent the products natural ingredients, with the live action element shot in-house at Freefolk’s East London based studio.
These environments were created in CG, as were the thousands of bespoke hero assets for all the numerous different CG flowers and vegetation needed to create the full bloom of ingredients.
The VFX team, led by Reece Weldon and VFX Producer Cheryl Payne, experimented with new pipeline and workflow techniques meaning they could scatter and layout hundreds of bespoke hero assets for the different types of flowers and vegetation quickly, allowing them to focus on creating beautiful and precise final images without compromise. The vast variety and density of the different assets the team were managing, was a great opportunity for them to harness the power of their USD for the first time.
